From Chester Cheetah to Geico Gecko, mascots or characters tend to play well on social. Kentucky-based Mingua Jerky has had a bull “mascot” for more than 20 years. We engaged fans to rally around the bull by giving a name. Fans simply shared a name suggestion in the caption for a chance to win a $100 gift card for the brand’s online store. We received more than 275 name suggestions and gained hundreds of new fans during the promotion.
