Collab posts first came on the scene in 2021 and have continued to be a good way to gain more organic reach. The Instagram feature lets you “co-author” content with another Instagram account which means that the post will show up on both profiles.
In addition to sharing content you get exposure to a new audience and you’ll share engagements including views, likes and comments. This feature is a great play for influencer content or even collaborating between two brands.
To collab, after uploading your post content go to the share screen, hit “Tag People” and then “Invite Collaborator”. The user must accept your collab request from their DMs in order for it to appear on the page. Try it out and let us know what you think.
