Up Your Instagram Story Game with these 3 Tips

From new fonts and features, Instagram Stories continue to evolve. They can be a powerful part of your Instagram strategy as they help with engagement and awareness of your account. They are a way to reinforce content that users might not see while they are scrolling and they encourage users to click through to your brand profile. Since they are a great tool to have we’ve pulled together three ways you can up your IG Story game in the near future.

  1. Take your time. While IG Stories have been known to be a less polished and more of a behind the scenes look in the past, with so many new filters, fonts and fun, you should take your time to edit your story, just like you would a post. Create a look and feel for your brand and keep it somewhat consistent. You can use the dropper icon to pick the perfect color, versus just the presets, and use tools like Canva if you are in need of more of a design template.

  2. Be engaging. Ask questions but also share responses. To do this, take a photo of the response, then open IG, select background photo, open text and paste photo.

  3. Increase reach with stickers. Add hashtags, locations and trending stickers (when applicable). Brands saw a nice uptick using the Stay at Home sticker during the initial phases of shutdown.
