Consumers’ today want real people and real stories to inform their purchasing decisions, making influencer marketing strategies a good way for businesses to talk to their audiences about their product.

When working with influencers, brands are able to create connections, build positive sentiment, and develop content to use across their own social media channels.

Here are two ways to scale your influencer strategy:

  1. Curate.

Sometimes there are already influencers out there creating content for your brand. These people may currently use your brand hashtags or tag you in posts to show their followers that they love your product and have an affinity for your brand. Dig through to see which content would represent your brand well, and direct message the influencer to ask if it can be reused. Often times, a shoutout is enough to recognize the work they did.

  2. Target.

People may not be posting about your brand, however, you can still find influencers who might have an affinity with your brand and just haven’t heard or posted about it yet. To identify these influencers, use specific hashtags to find and activate them on behalf of the campaign you’re running and offer to send product samples in exchange for their feedback. This is a great way to build direct relationships and you will have the ability to work with them for a long period of time. You can also put together a contract to go over pricing and what you’ll receive from them in return if you prefer to have a say in the content creation. Just remember to always give the creator a voice and don’t give them too many guidelines otherwise authenticity will be lost.
