You’re gearing up to launch a product, but the big question is when should you launch your social pages? There’s nothing set in stone but we share our experiences on how a typical brand launch would take place.
You Get Trademark Approval: Secure your brand handles across the board. Even if you aren’t going to actively post on a network like TikTok, make sure you have the handle. Ideally all the usernames are the same so you can cleanly just put @brandname across any printed material and people can easily find you on social. In a perfect world it also aligns with your website URL. The less to remember for a potential buyer, the better.
Three Months Prior to Launch: You should have your content strategy mapped out and start with content creation - including teaser posts. You can also start to proactively follow potential customers at this point so you are building your audience.
Two Months Prior to Launch: Look at dropping some general teaser content about your product even one post a week. You are building anticipation at this point and peaking interest. Continue to proactively follow potential customers.
One Month Prior to Launch: Consider giving a sneak peek of your product on social. Maybe it isn’t the full label but a silhouette of a bottle. Drop the launch date so people know when to look for it and increase post frequency to 2 times a week. Continue to proactively follow potential customers.
Launch Period: Begin posting regularly 3 - 4 times a week and amplify content with paid social ads. Watch your brand take off.
